What do I need to bring to class?
Flat buckle or plastic clip collar, or well fitting harness. (No choke chains, half checks or slip leads please). It is a requirement by law that the dog’s collar be fitted with a tag displaying the owners name, phone numbers and address. We can advise in class on this.
Try to bring a longer trigger hook lead, or double end training lead. If you don’t have one, or can’t find one we stock these for you to purchase at very reasonable prices. (No extending leads please).
Bring your puppy or dog's up to date Vaccination Certificate to your first session.
Treats - Bring tasty good quality treats that can be used as a reward. Small chopped up bits of cheese, sausages, chicken, luncheon meat or liver cake, cut into tiny pieces.
Bring your puppy or dog's blanket or bed for him to sit on, this will have a familiar smell and will help him feel more relaxed and settled. A bed with nonslip backing would be preferable as the wooden floor can be slippy.
If your puppy gets particularly excitable around food you may wish to give him/her a ‘small’ meal before class. If you have a small dog it would be better not to feed before class as there stomach will be to full for food to be interesting!
Please take your dog for a walk before class, not too long as it will wear puppy out - but just enough for them to empty their bladders and burn off any excess energy!
